Maintaining settees :

Setting up and assembling on spot must be done according to instructions enclosed to the product. The floor must be even. The upholstered furniture is for normal every day use and does not endure extreme conditions. The employability of product is warranted in normal climatic conditions, which are 55 to 75% relative humidity and temperatures between 18 and 20oC. When using products in humid places regular airing is recommended. The upholstered furniture must be positioned away from the heat sources, at least 50 cm from the radiator, 70 cm from a fire place and at least 150 cm from a cooker. The distance can be shorter when the heat source is protected by the heat isolator. For products made of natural leather the use of leather care products is recommended at least twice a year. The products must not be exposed to direct sunlight.
Maintenance and cleaning of leather:

Leather is relatively easy to maintain. It is recommended to use leather care products, but instructions for use must be strictly followed. Also the instructions on the distance of the product from heat and direct sunlight for protection must be observed. For regular cleaning it is enough to follow the instructions given below. The cleaning of natural leather is a bit more demanding and depends mostly on the type of the leather. While cleaning products for stain removal, such as turpentine, are not to be used. For easier maintenance of leather upholstered furniture, TOM has provided a leather cleaning set, which includes leather cleaning device, fluid for leather protection, a cloth, sponge and instruction. All customers who decide to buy a TOM leather settee receive a free cleaning set. It can also be purchased from any shop that offers TOM's program.
Maintenance and cleaning of Fabric:

Dust and water soluble dirt can be removed from products with a vacuum cleaner with a suitable nozzle (brush), with no aggressive rubbing and vacuum adjustment, or they can be cleaned by hand with a soft brush. Liquid stains should be removed with a cotton cloth, which absorbs well, then cleaned with a white cotton cloth dampened with a cleaning solution. The stain is removed by gentle surface rubbing. From the cleaning surface all detergent traces must be removed (with a cotton cloth, dry or moistened with water) and the cleaned parts should be left to dry completely. When cleaning materials such as flock, plush, micro-fibers, alcantara, the dry clean surface is gently brushed. Stains should be cleaned immediately they occur as otherwise they become more difficult to handle. The fibers absorb them more therefore making cleaning more difficult and less successful. Before cleaning it is necessary to establish what material was used for upholstering. This should be done with the help of the declaration paper. With decorative fabrics it is advisable to test the cleaning solution on a less visible spot. The used cleaning solution must be mild, for sensitive laundry.
